My wife and I traveled to Italy a few years ago. We visited museums almost every day and all that beautiful Renaissance art and architecture inspired quite a bit of sketching.

I finished a charcoal pencil piece (Medusa Descending) while in Florence. But it gave me ideas for other Medusa pieces. Each one I sketched out led to further sketches and now I have several I wish to explore through a variety of media (pencil, ink, charcoal, watercolor, and acrylic) in the future.
